The Alameda County Water District (ACWD) is a public agency which undertakes water management and protection of ground water resources in Alameda County. ACWD supplies quality water to residents of Fremont, Newark, and Union City in California. Much of the agency’s work relates to management of the Niles Cone aquifer. ACWD is also tasked with monitoring wells, blending facilities, and construction of water supply lines. Besides that, the agency also coordinates management of regional water resources with the Santa Clara Valley Water District and San Francisco Peninsula. Presently, ACWD is in charge of eleven reservoirs and tanks storage which holds a total of 89 million gallons of water.

ACWD allows its customers to view and pay their monthly water bills through e-Bill service (powered by CheckFree).When you enroll for this free service, you will no longer receive paper bills but monthly ACWD ebills at your bank’s website. For a nominal fee of $3.50, you can make a bill payment for your ACWD water bill over the phone. Payment over phone is provided by BillMatrix. Accepted payment methods include Credit Cards, Debit/ATM Cards, and Electronic Check.
Pay by web
ACWD customers can also pay their monthly water bills online. Web payment is provided by BillMatrix. Each payment attracts a service fee of $3.50. Accepted payment methods include all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, or Discover), Debit/ATM cards, or electronic check.
To pay online, go to ACWD.org/account and login with your credentials. Once you login enter view the amount due then go to pay bill. Enter the amount you want to pay and the payment source and then verify the details before you finalize the transaction.
